Job description of careers co-ordinator

The role of the careers co-ordinator is to assist young people's career learning, planning and development by leading and managing the development and delivery of careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) in the school. The co-ordinator advises the headteacher and chair of governors on appropriate provision for CEIAG; and supports the team of staff and partners involved in the delivery of CEIAG. The co-ordinator is also responsible for organising resources and evaluating provision to secure high standards of teaching, learning and guidance.
