The National Connexions Network (NCN) was launched at the end of March for Connexions workers. It will be led jointly by Steve Hoy, chief executive of Connexions Cheshire and Warrington, and Andrew Simmons, chief executive of Connexions Hertfordshire.
The forthcoming statutory guidance on the principles of impartial careers education from the DCSF will go out for public consultation in May and further details will be made available through this newsletter. It is expected that they will be published in October. The Education and Skills Act 2008 requires schools to ensure that information about learning options and careers is presented impartially and that advice promotes the best interests of pupils. |
