Getting IAG right for young people
The Higher Education Minister David Lammy, speaking at the UCAS annual admissions conference in Birmingham on 8 April, emphasised the importance of getting IAG right for young people.
The Minister stressed that IAG has to be central to a school’s mission and that the Government will publish statutory guidance on the principles underpinning the duty to deliver impartial careers education through the Education and Skills Act 2008. He urged the universities to continue working on entry profiles for Diploma students; and he talked to the universities about Diploma students bringing new skills and new expectations to higher education.
