14-19 Prospectuses

DCSF has published a web page for young people and parents telling them about their plans to develop 14-19 prospectuses and a post-16 common application process (CAP).

The web page outlines what a 14-19 prospectus is and explains that £1.7m is available in each of the next three years starting this financial year to help areas develop the prospectus.

All areas will develop a post-16 CAP linked to the 14-19 Prospectus by September 2010 It will be one process through which all young people can apply for education and training opportunities so that they no longer have to navigate different applications processes for different opportunities. Young people will be able to use it to apply for education and training courses from level 1 to level 3, namely GCSEs and A levels, Diplomas, and progression pathways within the FLT.
