IAG Conferences – 3rd, 13th and 16th June 2008

The new Careers Education and IAG Support Programme is working with the DCSF team on three IAG conferences to take place in June on 3rd June in Harrogate, 13th June in Nottingham and 16th June in London.

These events are designed to help 14-19 consortia and other IAG practitioners with an interest in the reforms to develop their IAG offer and equip them with the knowledge they will need to conduct ongoing CEIAG with young people and parents as they make their choices at key transition points in their secondary education.

The audience will mainly consist of representatives from 14-19 Diploma consortia with responsibility for the planning/delivery of local IAG provision, many of whom will be from Connexions Partnerships and bookings have been swift. We hope there will also be delegates present from the following areas:

  1. 14-19 partnership and Local Authority representatives with a particular responsibility for IAG
  2. Connexions managers and education services teams
  3. Representatives from 14-19 learning providers with a responsibility for the delivery of careers education and IAG

We will ensure a conference report with key points from the morning plenary session and a summary of the workshops is placed on the cegnet website.
