UCAS helps Diploma students enter higher education
This followed similar work with Phase 1 which led to universities describing over 80% of undergraduate courses as accessible from the first 5 Lines of Learning. The Diploma Data Officers have been raising awareness about the qualification in a number of different ways, largely through making on-site visits to HEIs to demonstrate the appropriate qualities that Diploma students will lend to undergraduate study. Through this, they hope to persuade HEIs to accept Diploma students onto their undergraduate courses, and ultimately encourage them to complete entry requirements for their qualifications. The Diploma Data Officers are working with institutions to ensure entry requirements are clear and transparent to applicants and colleges, enabling Diploma students to clearly view the options that are potentially open to them for higher education.
