Student Finance England

Student Finance Direct will be renamed Student Finance England in autumn 2008. Student Finance England will help new students work out the financial support they’ll get, apply for finance and keep track of their payments.

New students will be able to apply for student finance at the same time as they make their UCAS application. An online calculator will help them work out how much they can get and even see what bursaries may be available at their preferred university or college. After thy have applied they will be able to manage their own account online. The Student Finance Company is holding the second ‘Student Finance Stakeholder Event’ at Redworth Hall Hotel, Redworth, County Durham from 4 – 5 November 2008. The seminar is aimed at representatives from stakeholder organisations who have a role or interest in the communication and delivery of Student Finance Support. Representation is encouraged from HE sector bodies at a national level and national representation from information, advice and guidance delivery partner organisations.
