Adult advancement and careers service

As part of the government’s aim to improve people’s skills by providing information and advice about learning and work, transition arrangements are being put in place for the establishment of the adult advancement and career service (AACS) within the Skills Funding Agency.

The main points are:

• the website address from 9 September will be www.direct.gov.uk/careersadvice
• in the next few months, learndirect-advice functions currently carried out by UfI, existing supplier contracts and relevant staff will be formally transferring to the LSC.
