STEM Choices
A Resource Pack for Careers Education and Information, Advice and Guidance Practitioners

DCSF has launched a three-year project to promote science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM). This resource is for IAG staff in schools and connexions services to update them on developments in the STEM sector and to help them support young people considering STEM subjects and careers.

Web-based versions of Connexions publications

Interactive website versions of Which way now? 2009-10 and It’s your choice 2009-10 are now available on the Connexions Direct website at: www.connexions-direct.com/whichwaynow and www.connexions-direct.com/itsyourchoice.

On the websites, young people are guided through a mixture of information pages and activities such as question and answer checklists and quizzes with links to further sources of information, help and support.

    Lists the main subject families and careers and jobs within them in alphabetical order with sub groups for the larger subject families. Codes are provided for both main and sub-groups.

    For: Users wishing to retain a form of coding.

    Full Alphabetical Listing linked to Job Families
    Provides an alphabetical listing of jobs with their appropriate main job family name in CRCI.

    For: Connexions resource centres, schools, electronic careers software companies, careers/ Connexions resource materials providers.

    Full Alphabetical Listing linked to Job Families and Codes   
    Provides an alphabetical listing of jobs with their appropriate CRCI code and main job family name.
